Welcome to the 2026 Outdoor Learning Conference
Thursday May 7, 2026 8:30am - 12:00pm MDT
Registration for this field trip has now closed.

There is a $15 transportation cost associated with this Field Trip. Please note, this field trip will be meeting at the Jenny Belzberg Theatre. Please see the attached map for how to get there from the Kinnear Centre.

Start your Outdoor Learning Conference on ‘foot’ and enjoy a beautiful hike at Îyâ Mnathka (Mt.Yamnuska), which is the gateway to the Rocky Mountains. Alberta Parks Environmental Education Specialists will lead you through experiences to deepen your personal connection to this protected land and provide learning activities you could share with students. Be prepared to be outside for the entire morning as we acknowledge and connect with the land we’re learning on together. This is a short (4 km) and steep (200 m elevation over 1 km) hike with a rewarding view.
