About me
Kim McCoy combines deep experience with a genuine passion for science and the outdoors. She holds a master’s in educational leadership from Bridgewater State University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Long Island University and has spent the past 30 years working in outreach at Bridgewater State. As Associate Director for the Center for the Advancement of STEM Education, Kim leads professional development workshops in environmental science, biotechnology, biology, and chemistry, and creates hands-on learning experiences for students from PreK through grade 12. She also teaches environmental science to pre-service educators, emphasizing the power of outdoor, experiential learning to inspire curiosity and environmental stewardship. A strong advocate for environmental education, Kim is dedicated to helping others connect with nature. She continues to expand her knowledge through conferences and trainings, bringing fresh ideas and enthusiasm to her work.
