Welcome to the 2026 Outdoor Learning Conference
Friday May 8, 2026 3:30pm - 4:45pm MDT
Discover how Nature Journaling can deepen observation, curiosity, and connection in your classroom. In this hands-on session, participants will experience a guided journaling activity that begins with finding a quiet sit spot and creating a map of their surroundings. Using the prompts “I notice, I wonder, and it reminds me of,” educators will combine words, pictures, and numbers to record sensory observations and questions. Through reflection and discussion, we’ll explore how nature journaling supports inquiry, creativity, and well-being while fostering belonging and environmental stewardship. Leave inspired, grounded, and ready to bring this meaningful practice to your students.
