About me
Sarah Patterson is an educator with 19 years of experience in primary, junior, and intermediate classrooms within the Halton District School Board. Currently serving as an Instructional Program Leader for STEM assessment and Outdoor Experiential Education, she is passionate about bringing the curriculum to life through hands-on outdoor experiences. Sarah has led initiatives to create sustainable indoor and outdoor native species garden spaces that align with key concepts in the Science and Technology curriculum, along with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Additionally, she has facilitated collaborative garden projects through cross-division learning initiatives, enabling educators to co-plan, share best practices, and connect curriculum areas in meaningful ways. Her commitment to innovative teaching practices empowers educators to integrate sustainability into their teaching, enhancing students' connections to their environment.
