About me
Leah Smith is an Early Childhood Educator and Forest School Practioner.
With 20 years of experience in a variety of childcare settings, from small and large child care centeres, years as a nanny and running forest school sessions out of city parks, as well as being a single parent of two teens, Leah comes with perspectives and insight from many vantage points.
10 of those years have been outside, in nature with children as well as facilating professional development for educators through conferences, custom workshops and course development/delivery in Nature Based Learning and Forest School ethos.
She now sits on the excutive team as the Director of Nature Based Learning at FortWhyte Alive, a Winnipeg nature preserve and educational resource center and a non-profit organization.
