About me
Crystal Dawn is an 18-year educator and lifelong lover of the outdoors who has been intentionally weaving outdoor learning and wellness into her practice since 2010. With a rigorous, system-level focus since 2020, she has led the integration of outdoor education, place-based learning, and community wellness across her school in her role as principal. Crystal Dawn is passionate about the natural connection between Compassionate Systems Leadership and outdoor education, and she believes deeply in the power of land-based experiences to strengthen awareness, belonging, and collective well-being. Her work centers on building thriving learning communities where students and staff feel grounded, connected, and inspired by the places they learn and live.
