Tanya Woods is an educator with 28 years of experience in the Halton District School Board. Tanya spent the first 16 years of her career as a junior/intermediate educator and has since transitioned into a system leadership role as an Instructional Program Leader with responsibilities in elementary health and physical education, as well as outdoor experiential education.
Passionate about promoting students' physical, social, and emotional well-being, she enhances learning through outdoor experiences. Her commitment to innovative teaching practices and student engagement has made her a respected leader in her field, inspiring both students and fellow educators. Outside the classroom, Tanya enjoys staying active and exploring the outdoors, and advocates for the importance of overall student and educator health and well-being in education.
