About me
Vicki (she/her) grew up on the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, Anishinabeg, Seneca, and Chippewa peoples where time spent among the majestic white pines and flowing waters nurtured her love for nature and storytelling. With over 25 years of experience as a park educator, classroom teacher and UN Education Specialist, she has worked to support youth and teachers connect meaningfully with the land. Currently, she works and lives in Treaty 7 Territory where she is employed by Alberta Parks as the Environmental Education Specialist for the Kananaskis Region where mountains, rivers and forests are her favorite classrooms. Vicki champions land-based learning for its power to deepen connections to nature, provide authentic learning experiences, and foster environmental stewardship.
