About me
Dr. Danielle Starks teaches special education courses at Purdue Northwest University, where she mentors preservice teachers in creating inclusive, strengths-based learning environments. Her work centers on supporting first-generation students and educators through accessible pedagogy, collaborative problem-solving, and Universal Design for Learning. Danielle brings a passion for outdoor learning and equity to every space she enters. As an aspiring hiker, she’s on a personal journey to explore all 50 U.S. states and National Parks, an adventure that fuels her commitment to place-based education and experiential learning.
