About me
Saba Madarwala is a doctoral student in the Curriculum and Pedagogy stream within the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University (SFU). With a background in science and experience as an elementary school teacher, she brings interdisciplinary lens to her research in ecological literacy and decolonial pedagogy. Drawing on relational and ecological perspectives, she explores how dominant schooling practices sever learners from their entanglements with land, community, and more-than-human world. Saba envisions education as a healing space of collective becoming.
