About me
For more than 25 years, Monica Nissen has been guided by a passion for connecting people to place. A certified teacher and Wildsight’s Education Director, she leads curriculum-linked programs that reach thousands of students across the Columbia Basin each year. Monica co-instructs the Columbia River Field School and delivers Teach the Columbia and Watershed Matters workshops, and loves learning from and with youth on the land.
