About me
Mandi Parkin holds an Applied Bachelor of Ecotourism and Outdoor Leadership from Mount Royal University (2013) and brings over a decade of experience facilitating meaningful connections between people and the natural environment. Her work spans summer camps, pre-employment programs, and community initiatives, all rooted in the belief that outdoor learning enhances wellbeing and fosters personal growth.
Since joining Prospect in 2013 as a Program Coordinator, Mandi has utilized Calgary’s natural spaces as dynamic classrooms, helping clients experience improved quality of life through community and workforce integration. Her passion for outdoor learning is deeply personal—shaped by childhood summers spent exploring the forests around Golden, BC. These experiences taught her practical skills like fire building and navigation, while also nurturing self-awareness and a deeper understanding of the world.
Mandi continues to champion outdoor learning as a powerful tool for inclusion
