About me
Laura Chaboyer is a fluent Swampy Cree language speaker in the historic community of Cumberland House, Saskatchewan, better known in Swampy Cree as Kamininistikminhagoskak (Spruce Island). She has dedicated 13 years of service with the Northern Lights School Division #113 as an Educational assistant, Librarian, Bus driver, and Swampy Cree language developer. Her passion is teaching people about the history of Kamininistikminhagoskak, sharing Swampy Cree language resources and teaching students about holistic wellness teachings.
