About me
For the past three decades, Adam has been at the forefront of the movement to authentically connect children to nature. He has traveled globally to collaborate on the creation of over 4000 natural parks and playgrounds in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Canada and the US and to teach about the connections between human health, child development, environmental regeneration, and play in nature. His teaching style combines rich data and storytelling with a large dose of irony and sarcasm earned through years of fighting for the obvious.
In 2023, Adam stepped down as CEO of Bienenstock Natural Playgrounds to launch the Re-Nature Foundation—dedicated to funding and creating a forest at every school and ensuring teachers have the tools and training to use it. ReNature is currently working with 2000 public schools in Canada and 2500 more in the US to make this a reality across North America.
