About me
"Being outdoors was where I found my wings. I always learned best through place-based experiences I could connect to—right in my own backyard. With an MA in Elementary Education focused on multicultural curriculum, my path led from classroom teaching to 15 years in environmental education—as a Park Ranger, Education Manager, and now Executive Director of TOTAL NM.
Through the leadership of 13 incredible educators in Belen and our community partners, TOTAL NM created the New Mexico Outdoor Classrooms Framework, now expanding statewide to help teachers take all students outdoors. Together, we’re advancing equitable, accessible outdoor learning rooted in community, collaboration, and action—ensuring every New Mexico student has the chance to learn and grow through the world around them"
