About me
Perry is a retired High School educator and administrator with 35 years of experience. He is passionate about inspiring students to explore the outdoors and develop hands-on skills while engaging with natural ecosystems. He now develops and implements programs on land-based learning for K-12 students as well as adults for the Alberta Centre for Bushcraft and Trapping. Our Vision is to create and offer opportunities that equip people, no matter their age, ability or comfort level, to experience and play in nature. Over the past three years, he has delivered programs to thousands of students across Alberta, focusing on being present in nature, respect for ancestral (indigenous) knowledge, and conservation/sustainability. Perry is an active member of the Take Me Outside organization and continues to advocate to schools and school leaders about the importance and value of the mission of TAKE ME OUTSIDE.
