Welcome to the 2026 Outdoor Learning Conference
Thursday May 7, 2026 3:15pm - 4:30pm MDT
Outdoor learning is not something new. However, now is the time to turn it into a movement. Too often, conversations about outdoor equity stop at access rather than addressing the systems that sustain it. This 75-minute interactive session invites educators and leaders to explore how to move beyond one-time outdoor experiences toward daily, equitable outdoor learning for all students. Using the New Mexico Outdoor Classrooms Framework, participants will reframe barriers like time, space, and funding as opportunities for collaboration and innovation. Through reflection, design challenges, and dialogue, we’ll uncover practical strategies for embedding outdoor learning into school culture and building systems that last.
